PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wheelchair, when the wheelchair is used or stored, capable of avoiding such a trouble that wire ropes are caught by or entangled with some objects.SOLUTION: The wheelchair includes: footrests having low-frictional turning parts reels that can rotate only in one direction normally and, when being released, can rotate in the inverse direction and wire ropes having one ends attached to the footrests and the other ends attached to the reels.
