PURPOSE: A perfume composition is provided to reproduce the inherent fragrance of chestnut flowers and to have high preference by adding indole to a main ingredient.CONSTITUTION: A perfume composition contains chestnut flower essential oil and indole as active ingredients. The essential oil is extracted from chestnut flowers and contains 25-35 wt% of 1-phenylethanol, 10-25 wt% of 2-phenylethanol, 10-25 wt% of acetophenone, and 2-10 wt% of nonanal. The essential oil also contains geraniol, linalool, hexanal, and hexanol.
