FIELD: food industry.SUBSTANCE: invention represents a method for evaluation of tea samples in terms of quality index. On replica pellicles obtained from lower surface of various samples leaves one calculates the quantity of stomatoes within sight in the process of 280-fold microscope magnification. The less stomatoes there are on the replica pellicle of the sample leaves within sight the higher is the quality of such sample tea. Such samples evaluation performance is necessary during determination of tea characteristics quality.EFFECT: proposed method usage allows to perform evaluation of the quality of samples of tea represented not only in the form of whole leaves but also in the form of leaves cut into parts.3 cl, 5 tbl, 2 ex
