PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To support the operation to change a posture from a standing posture to a sitting posture, or from a sitting posture to a standing posture.SOLUTION: An attitude-variable standing type mobile device 10 is a movable body by which an occupant P moves in a standing posture, and is equipped with a posture support mechanism 20 that supports the transfer of a handicapped person with a paralyzed lower limb. The attitude-variable standing type mobile device 10 includes a movement base 30, a pair of drive wheels 40 and 50, a pair of follower wheels 60 and 62, a control part 70, a battery 80, a drive wheel support mechanism 90, and a follower wheel support mechanism 100. The posture support mechanism 20 is configured so as to support a posture change of the occupant P by the pressing force of a gas spring, and operates so as to support the posture transition motion when the posture of the occupant P changes from a standing posture to a sitting posture, or from a sitting posture to a standing posture.
