PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To develop a transplantation device suitable for transplantation because cultivating many seedlings at once has been done using a container with a small capacity for enhancing efficiency of raising seedling, and transplantation into culture soil in a container with larger capacity must be done in a given time according to growth of the root ball of the seedling, but culture soil is soft and a seedling is delicate and is difficult to handling.SOLUTION: The invention provides a transplantation device which can transfer a seedling from one container to another container not to destroy a root ball part without depending on handwork, and comprises an extrusion means for extruding a root ball from a container, and a holding means for holding the root ball supported by the extrusion means. Under a condition of supporting the root ball by the extruding means, the root ball is held by the holding means.
