PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a three-dimensional gather which is good in air permeability and excellent in fitness.SOLUTION: In an absorbent article which absorbs a body fluid passing through a liquid permeable sheet 30 positioned on a use surface side by an absorbent element, a three-dimensional gather 60 having a gather sheet 62 to be a solid and a flexible expanding and contracting member 63 is provided on the use surface side. The gather sheet 62 is flexible and air permeable, and the flexible expanding and contracting members 63i, 63c, 63o are fixed to the gather sheet 62 in an expanded state in a central part in a raised region with respect to a width direction of the three-dimensional gather 60 and left and right parts separated from the central part in the width direction.
