PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a double bearing type reel which inhibits malfunction of changeover operation of a pinion gear, which may be caused by shaving-off of a yoke.SOLUTION: A double bearing type reel includes: a drive gear which can be rotated by take-up operation of a handle a pinion gear movably provided between a connecting position and a separating position along the axial direction of a spool shaft and engaged with the spool shaft at the connecting position to transmit the rotation of the drive gear to the spool shaft a yoke disposed so as to be engaged with the small-diameter part of the pinion gear and including a yoke body formed of resin an urging spring for urging the yoke in one direction to hold the pinion gear at the connecting position and a clutch cam for holding the pinion gear at the separating position by moving the yoke in the other direction according to the movement of an operation part.
