The present invention relates to a pigment concentrate comprising particles of one or more pigments dispersed in at least one dispersing agent, wherein the at least one dispersing agent comprises an ester of a polyol with at least one carboxylic according to formula Iwherein R is a hydrocarbon rest containing from 3 up to 27 carbon atoms, and wherein the polyol comprises isosorbide. Preferred carboxylic acids are C4-C28 fatty acids.
