A prosthetic system (5) includes a prosthetic foot (4) having an upper foot element (14) with a concave-forward facing portion (18) and foot portion (20) extending forwardly therefrom. An intermediate foot element (24) is disposed below the upper foot element (14) and has a front portion coupled to the foot portion (20) of the upper foot element (14). A lower foot element (28) is disposed below the intermediate foot element (14). A pump system (3) is coupled to the prosthetic foot (4) and comprises a pump mechanism (2) including a housing (40) defining a cavity (58), and a membrane (46) situated in the cavity (58). The pump mechanism (2) is movable between an original configuration and an expanded configuration. An arm member (38) is connected to the pump mechanism (2) and operatively coupled to the intermediate foot element (24).
