Sunless tanning compositions and methods for using the same are describedherein. Such compositions may include sunless tanning ingredients such asdihydroxyacetone. Additional colorants may also be included. These additionalcolorants are preferably caramel colorants, particularly those in Class IVsuch asDSL4. It was found that the additional coloring enhancers of the presentdisclosureunexpectedly contributed to the immediate and long-term color development of asuntanned appearance on skin even after these water-soluble colorants werewashed off of skin.
