The present invention relates to a process for providing substituted phenyl ketones wherein a Grignard reagent which is obtained from a substituted phenyl bromide is reacted with an acyl chloride at a temperature of -20 to 10 °C. Furthermore, the invention relates to the use of substituted phenoxyphenyl ketones obtained by the inventive process for the preparation of triazoles.
