PURPOSE: A makeup cosmetic composition using scoria powder is provided to have various functionalities such as UV protection, moisturization, far-infrared ray irradiation, and heavy metal adsorption. CONSTITUTION: A makeup cosmetic composition contains 60 wt% or more of scoria powder as a pigment. The particle size of the scoria powder is 5 micrometer or less. A cosmetic composition for UV protection further contains an extract selected from the group consisting of a Weigela subsessilis leaf extract, a Rhododendron weyrichii leaf extract, and a Vaccinium oldhami leaf extract. The extracts are prepared using water.
