The stretching portion (G1, G2) has an outer layer sheet (22) disposed distal the wearer's skin and an inner layer sheet (23) disposed proximal the wearer's skin than the outer layer sheet. The outer layer sheet (22) and inner layer sheet (23) are joined at joining parts (26) disposed sparsely so that a plurality of joining part rows (26S, 26P) extending along a longitudinal direction (X) of the article are formed. The outer layer sheet (22) and/or inner layer sheet (23) between adjacent joining part rows (26S, 26P) deform so as to expand in a thickness direction of the stretching portion to form a hollow portion (30) between both sheets (22, 23). An opening (m) is formed on the joining part (26) so that all or a portion of the opening (m) overlaps the same.
