PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rice transplanter having a rotary type seedling planting device capable of correcting defects such as twisting of power transmission elements attributable to functioning of a non-uniform velocity member.SOLUTION: A rice transplanter of the present invention includes: a transmission case 11 for shifting the power of an engine 10 mounted on a travelling machine body 1 a seedling planting device 2 having a transplant mechanism 8 with a planting pawl 96 for drawing a non-circular operation track a spacing speed change gear 26 for shifting the operation speed of the transplant mechanism 8 relative to the travelling speed of the travelling machine body 1 to change spacing non-uniform velocity members 98 and 99 for transmitting a non-uniform velocity rotation power to the transplant mechanism 8.
