The invention relates to a dual grid system which is used for guiding laparoscopic-assisted brachytherapy for liver tumours, the system providing a two-point guidance of brachytherapy needles in order to increase their positioning accuracy. According to the invention, the system consists of an external grid made of sterilizable plastic, which is fixed on the patient's tegument by suture or in vicinity thereof, said grid being round-shaped with a central hole and the remaining holes being arranged at equal distances in concentric circles thereto, the second component of this dual system being represented by a chain of magnetic spheres strung on a polypropylene wire, the whole assembly being sterilizable, where the chain of magnetic spheres is inserted through a plastic trocar of 10 mm into the abdominal cavity of the patient after insufflation of the pneumoperitoneum and is assembled in a helical shape, and the first brachytherapy catheter is inserted through the external grid, through the central orifice, penetrates the abdominal wall, enters the peritoneal cavity, passes through the central space between the magnetic spheres and enters the liver to the opposite end of the tumour, exceeding it by 1 ... 2 cm, the following catheters being inserted at equal distances, parallel to the first catheter inserted, being maintained by this system of grids for guiding.Invenţia se referă la un sistem dual de grile utilizat pentru ghidajul brahiterapiei asistată laparoscopic pentru tumorile hepatice, sistemul asigurând o ghidare în două puncte a acelor de brahiterapie pentru a creşte precizia de poziţionare a acestora.
