Antibody antagonists of human interleukin-13 receptor alpha 1 which bind to hIL-13Rα1 through domain 3 of the extracellular region of the receptor and inhibit IL-13 receptor-mediated signaling by IL-13 are disclosed herein. These antibodies have uses inter alia in the treatment or prevention of IL-13-related disorders and diseases. The present disclosure also discloses nucleic acid encoding said antibody molecules, vectors, host cells, and compositions comprising the antibody molecules.
