A composite material comprises rubber powder in a layer between fibre fabric layers. The layers are then bound together with epoxy resin. The rubber powder utilises recycled vehicle tyres. The composite material has improved elasticity and toughness, and has applications in aeronautical, automotive, ship building and sporting products.
