PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hot water storage type water heater capable of having a mist function by optimally controlling one mixing valve.SOLUTION: This hot water storage type water heater comprises a hot water storage tank 1, a mist generating device 9, a bathtub 33, a bath hot water supply pipe 11 for supplying the water of high temperature from a top portion of the hot water storage tank 1 to the bathtub 33, a bath water supply pipe 14 for supplying the water from a water supply source to the bathtub 33, a bath mixing means 21 for mixing the water of high temperature from the bath hot water supply pipe 11 and the water from the bath water supply pipe 14, a bath hot water amount detecting means 44 for detecting the amount of hot water supplied from the bath mixing means 21, and a bath pipe 17 connecting a supply opening of the bath mixing means 21 and the bathtub 33.
