The present invention provides a process for the formulation of a composition that has a fungicidal action against Moniliophthora roreri and Phytophthora spp fungi, which damage the fruits and other parts of the cacao plant, the invention consisting in bringing the pathogens into contact with an effective amount of a compound that includes an inert vehicle and as an essential active ingredient a compound obtained from the mixture 5:0.05(V/V) of two compounds the first compound is obtained by cooking in aqueous phase of minerals such as sulfur and calcium hydroxide and the second being the essential oil extracted by the distillation of the dried fruits of the Syzygium aromaticum L. plant. The invention describes the obtention by cooking in aqueous phase of a compound resulting from the mixture of minerals such as powder sulfur and calcium hydroxide. The invention also describes the obtention, by separation of the aqueous phase, of the essential oil from the hydrolat obtained by distil lation from the clove plant (Syzygium aromaticum L.). This composition not only includes the prepared combination to be applied over the crop to be treated, but also a spray method and the dose of the composition to be applied to the crop.
