This invention is directed to a method for preventing, treating or ameliorating substance-related disorders, in a subject in need thereof comprising administering to the subject an effective amount of a compound selected from: Formula (I), or Formula (II) or pharmaceutically acceptable forms thereof, wherein phenyl is substituted at X with one to five halogen atoms selected from the group consisting of fluorine, chlorine, bromine and iodine； and, R<；SUB>；1<；/SUB>；, R<；SUB>；2<；/SUB>；, R<；SUB>；3<；/SUB>；, R<；SUB>；4<；/SUB>；, R<；SUB>；5<；/SUB>； and R<；SUB>；6<；/SUB>； are independently selected from the group consisting of hydrogen and C<；SUB>；1<；/SUB>；-C<；SUB>；4<；/SUB>； alkyl； wherein C<；SUB>；1<；/SUB>；-C<；SUB>；4<；/SUB>； alkyl is optionally substituted with phenyl (and, wherein phenyl is optionally substituted with substituents independently selected from the group consisting of halogen, C<；SUB>；1<；/SUB>；-C<；SUB>；4<；/SUB>； alkyl, C<；SUB>；1<；/SUB>； C<；SUB>；4<；/SUB>； alkoxy, amino, nitro and cyano). In addition, methods are included involving co-administration of compounds of the invention with one or more compounds known to treat substance-induced disorders.
