A method of preparing a two-layer tablet in which one fast layer contains 5-hydroxytryptophan (5-HTP) and the other deposited layer contains tryptophan (Trp) or 5-hydroxytryptophan (5-HTP), the method comprising the following stages: 1) preparation of the mixture for the “quick” layer using the following intermediate steps: i) granulation of the mixture of the following ingredients: the first part of microcrystalline cellulose, the first part of croscarmellose sodium, 5-hydroxytryptophan (5-HTP), hydroxypropylmethyl cellulose and granulating dye a solution containing deionized water and polyvinylpyrrolidone； ii) granule calibration； iii) drying the calibrated granules in a vacuum chamber at 45 ° C so that the liquid content in the granules becomes less than 1%； iv) sieving the dried granules through a sieve with a hole diameter of approximately 2 mm ； v) adding to the sieved granules the remaining portion of croscarmellose sodium, sodium stearate dicalcium phosphate and polyvinylpyrrolidone sieved through a porous filter with a pore diameter of approximately 0.7 mm； vi) stirring the product is intermediate of step v)； 2) preparation of the “deferred” layer mixture using the following intermediate steps: a) mixing one ingredient from tryptophan and 5-hydroxytryptophan with dicalcium phosphate； b) granulating the mixture for the intermediate step a) using a granulating solution containing deionized water and polyvinylpyrrolidone； c) calibration of the granules of the intermediate step b) and drying in a vacuum chamber at 45 ° C, so that the liquid content in the granules becomes less than 1%； d) intermediate to the pre-calibrated product1.
