PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a germicidal disinfectant which has high sterilizing power in a short time of 30 seconds or less even in the presence of an organic matter, and can be safety used, and to provide a germicidal disinfection method using the germicidal disinfectant.SOLUTION: A germicidal disinfectant is obtained by dissolving 200-1,000 ppm of sodium hypochlorite and 1,700 ppm or more of calcium hydroxide. A food detergent composition is composed of only a component recognized as a food additive of the sodium hypochlorite and the calcium hydroxide.
