To provide a spinning reel for fishing in which oil filling work of magnetic fluid can easily be performed when water-proof is made by a magnetic seal mechanism.SOLUTION: A spinning reel for fishing of the present invention has a drive unit 21 rotationally driven with a rotor 3 in the rotating operation of a handle, a one-way clutch 20 for permitting one-way rotation of the drive unit 21 and inhibiting the rotation in the other direction, and a magnetic seal mechanism 50 for waterproofing the one-way clutch. The magnetic seal mechanism 50 forms a magnetic circuit 50A at a gap G between a holding member 30 being in a fixed state to a reel body and the drive unit 21, and includes a magnetic fluid being held in the magnetic circuit.
