PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a greening material maintaining a predetermined strength even when saturated with water, having high water retention, and being obtained by a low-cost and simple process.SOLUTION: A greening material is made up of a carbonized material of 50-90 mass%, a vegetable cellulose fiber material of 5-40 mass%, and an adhesive of 0.5-5 mass% as solid contents.
