PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wire material holder capable of surely and simply holding a medical linear material in a compact disposable shape without allowing a winding operation and to provide a medical wire material set with the same.SOLUTION: The medical wire material set 200 includes: a small-diameter and long guide wire 12, a holder tube 202 for housing the guide wire 12, and a shape retention tool 208 for retaining the holder tube 202 in spiral shape. The shape retention tool 208 is utilized as a wire material retainer 10A. The wire material retainer 10A has holder grooves 24a, 24b, 24c to which part of the holder tube 202 can be detachably attached, a first groove portion 34 for holding a part 38a of a batch 38 formed by winding the used guide wire 12 a plurality of times and putting together in a state where the batch is made into the shape of a figure of 8, and a second groove portion extending in a direction perpendicular to the extending direction of the first groove portion 34 and holding the other part 38b of the batch 38.COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT【課題】巻き留め作業を行うことなく、医療用の線材を確実且つ簡単にコンパクトな廃棄形状に保持することができる線材保持具及びそれを備えた医療用線材セットを提供する。【解決手段】医療用線材セット200は、細径で長尺なガイドワイヤ12と、ガイドワイヤ12を収納するホルダチューブ202と、ホルダチューブ202を渦巻形状に保持するための形状保持具208とを備える。形状保持具208は、線材保持具10Aとして利用される。そして、線材保持具10Aには、ホルダチューブ202の一部が着脱可能なホルダ溝24a、24b、24cと、使用済みのガイドワイヤ12を複数回周回して束ねた集束体38を平面視で8の字状にした状態で、該集束体38の一部38aを保持する第1溝部34と、第1溝部34の延在方向に直交する方向に延在して該集束体38の他の一部38bを保持する第2溝部とが形成されている。【選択図】図4
