PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shift operation mechanism capable of preventing the intrusion of dust etc., into a steering part from outside and improving a degree of freedom in design of itself while permitting rotation around a rotation fulcrum shaft of a steering part without the requirement of disassembling.SOLUTION: The shift operation mechanism includes: a shift operation shaft supported on a side column rotatably around axis so as to be astride the inside and outside of the steering part a shift operation member connected to the inner end of the shift operation shaft a shift intermediate shaft supported on the steering part rotatably around the axis outside a steering space an operation side link mechanism operably linked to the shift operation shaft and the shift intermediate shaft an operation side first link arm linked to the shift intermediate shaft and an operation side link rod operably linked to the operation side first link arm and a transmission device.
