PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new water treating agent having persistency and long- term property and not having bad influence on environment in order to solve problems in which removal of microorganisms was made difficult in a water treating agent in conventional pool, cooling tower and water circulation systems. SOLUTION: A guanidine-based organic compound (polyhexamethylene phosphoric acid guanidine salt) used for sterilization of pools and preservation of drinking water is utilized as a water treating agent composition.
