Disclosed are methods of detecting and screening for one or more PDE3B variants. Disclosed are methods comprising: obtaining a sample from a subject； detecting whether one or more PDE3B loss of function or damaging variants is present in the sample； diagnosing the subject as having a greater likelihood of responding to PDE3B inhibitors when there is an absence of the one or more PDE3B loss of function or damaging variant； and administering an effective amount of a PDE3B inhibitor to the subject.L'invention concerne des procédés de détection et de criblage à la recherche d'un ou plusieurs variants de PDE3B.
