PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition for spraying, hardly causing reduction of viscosity even in the presence of a functional additive such as an electrolyte and an ionic material, keeping the stable gel shape with time, and enabling spraying, and to provide a spraying device using the composition.
SOLUTION: The composition for spraying contains the following components (A) and (B) wherein the proportion of the contained component (A) is 0.1-3.0 wt.%, and has specific viscosity: (A) a cellulose fiber having &le1,000 nm maximum fiber diameter, and 2-150 nm number-average fiber diameter, and composed of a cellulose which has a cellulose type I crystal structure, and in which the hydroxy group of the C6 position of the glucose unit in the cellulose molecule is selectively oxidized to afford an aldehyde group and a carboxy group so that the contents of the carboxy group and the aldehyde group may be 0.6-2.0 mmol/g and 0.05-0.3 mmol/g respectively and (B) water. The spraying device containing the composition for spraying is also provided.
