PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disposable diaper preventing a fastening tape and a side panel from causing base material destruction to peel off when wearing a diaper, and improved in use feeling.SOLUTION: A diaper 1 is mounted with: a side panel 3 extending outward in an X-direction on each of both side parts 2S on one end side in a Y-direction of an absorbent body 2 having a liquid-holding absorber 23 and a fastening tape 4 extending outward in the X-direction on an outward side part 3S along the Y-direction of the side panel 3. The fastening tape 4 is joined to one surface of the side panel 3 through a joint area 6.
