PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a temperature measuring apparatus and temperature measuring method capable of improving precision of measurement of a body temperature of an animal, while reducing stress and labor of a measurer and the animal as a measuring object.SOLUTION: The temperature measuring apparatus includes: a thermography 20 for contactlessly measuring a temperature distribution within a prescribed range; a calibration part 21 having a heat-generating body capable generating heat of a set temperature; and thermistors provided at a plurality of different-temperature positions of the calibration part 21 for measuring temperatures of the respective installation parts. A control part 22 calibrates a first temperature measurement result obtained, by the thermography 20, by measuring a temperature distribution within a range including an eye E of a calf C as an object, on the basis of a temperature difference of the corresponding parts, between a second temperature measurement result obtained, by the thermography 20, by measuring the temperature distribution within a range including the calibration part 21, and a third measurement result obtained, by the thermistor, by measuring the temperature distribution of the calibration part 21.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1【課題】測定者及び測定対象である動物に対するストレスや労力を削減しつつ、動物の体温測定の正確性を向上させることができる測温装置及び測温方法を提供すること。【解決手段】非接触で所定の範囲の温度分布を測定するサーモグラフィ20と、設定した温度で発熱可能な発熱体を有する校正部21と、校正部21の温度の異なる複数箇所に設置され、各設置箇所の温度を測定するサーミスタとを備え、制御部22が、サーモグラフィ20により対象物である子牛Cの眼部Eを含む範囲の温度分布を測定した第1の測温結果に対し、サーモグラフィ20により校正部21を含む範囲の温度分布を測定した第2の測温結果とサーミスタにより校正部21の温度分布を測定した第3の測定結果の対応する箇所の温度差に基づき、校正を行う。【選択図】図1
