The present invention relates to a method for producing a low smoke bamboo piece incense stick comprising the steps of preparing a bamboo piece； preparing wood flour； preparing starch； preparing coal powder； preparing pyrite fine powder, which is a combustion improver； producing an incense material by mixing and agitating 43-47 wt% of wood flour, 33-37 wt% of starch, 13-17 wt% of coal powder, and 3-7 wt% of pyrite fine powder in a powder form； rolling the bamboo piece in the mixed and agitated incense material while moisture is spread on and absorbed in the bamboo piece so that the powder-type incense material is bonded to the bamboo piece； and drying the bamboo piece on which the incense material is bonded using sunlight.본 발명은 선향 제조방법에 있어서, 죽첨을 구비하는 단계, 목분을 구비하는 단계, 전분을 구비하는 단계, 탄분을 구비하는 단계, 연소촉진제인 황철석 미분말을 구비하는 단계, 상기 목분 43 ~ 47wt%, 전분 33 ~ 37wt%, 탄분 13 ~ 17wt%, 황철석 미분말 3 ~ 7wt%인 향재료를 분말상태로 혼합하여 교반하는 단계, 상기 죽첨에 물을 발라 수분을 흡습시킨 상태에서 상기 혼합하여 교반된 향재료에 죽첨을 굴려서 분말 상태의 향재료가 죽첨에 달라붙도록 하는 단계 및 상기 향재료가 달라 붙은 죽첨을 햇볕에 건조하는 단계를 포함하여 이루어진 것을 특징으로 하는 저연 죽첨 선향 제조방법에 관한 것이다.
