PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an incense stick in which an amount of smoke is reduced, pungent odors and carbon odors are prevented, clear dyeing is achieved, and ash is easy to collapse.SOLUTION: As a base material of an incense stick, used is active alumina. The incense stick contains 20 wt.% or more of active alumina, a Chinese herbal perfume, a specific inorganic compound, and a binder. The total content of vegetation powder (excluding the powder of an aromatic tree) and charcoal powder is less than 20 wt.%.
