1. A liquid composition containing racecadotril and cyclodextrin. 2. The composition of claim 1, wherein the racecadotril is a racemic RS form or R form. A composition according to claim 1, wherein the racecadotril is present in an amount of from about 0.10 grams to about 0.30 grams per 100 ml of liquid composition. The composition of claim 1, wherein the cyclodextrin is alpha-cyclodextrin, beta-cyclodextrin, gamma-cyclodextrin, hydroxypropyl-beta-cyclodextrin, hydroxypropyl-gamma-cyclodextrin, or mixtures thereof. The composition of claim 1, wherein the cyclodextrin is present in an amount of from about 40 wt.% To about 65 wt.% Per 100 ml of liquid composition. The composition of claim 1, further comprising an optional ingredient selected from the group consisting of buffers, preservatives, sweeteners, viscosity modifiers, colorants, flavors, flavors, and mixtures thereof. 7. The composition of claim 6, wherein the buffer is citrate, acetate, phosphate, or mixtures thereof. The composition of claim 6, wherein the sweetener is sorbitol, high fructose corn syrup, sucralose, aspartame, saccharin, sucrose, or mixtures thereof. The composition of claim 6, wherein the preservative is sodium benzoate, potassium benzoate, propyl paraben, methyl paraben, butyl paraben, or a mixture thereof. A composition according to claim 1, wherein the cyclodextrin is a sulfobutyl ether derivative of β-cyclodextrin. A dosage form containing a composition according to claim 1, wherein the dosage form is a liquid oral dosage form, a solid dosage form with a soft shell, a solid dosage form with a hard shell or a dosage form of a tablet.
