The oven door lock, with a rotary spring bolt (2) held by a main locking pawl (1), has a fork jaw (12) to hold a counter lock unit (11). When the lock handle moves a release unit (4) it is lifted out of its locking setting so that the spring bolt is shifted towards the open setting into an intermediate setting where the oven door is held half open. The spring bolt is held in the intermediate setting by an intermediate locking pawl (3).
