PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for preserving pyridyl alkanethiol in a stable state over an extended period based on a simple method.SOLUTION: The provided preservation method of pyridyl alkanethiol is a method for preserving pyridyl alkanethiol in which pyridyl alkanethiol is preserved in a state of being contacted with at least one type of antioxidant selected from the group consisting of natural antioxidants, phenolic antioxidants, and stable radical-type antioxidants.
