The equipment tips a standing animal, particularly a sheep, on its back, and comprises, alongside the walkway (5) for the animals, an oblong trough (15) into which the animal's back fits. The trough (15) hinges at its top edge on an axis (14) parallel to the walkway, so as to bring its open top (18) through a quarter of a turn towards the walkway. The trough can be detachable from the latter.
