PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing an absorber, capable of efficiently manufacturing an absorber having a space part where a raw material is not present over the entire area in the thickness direction.SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing an absorber includes: a deposition step of obtaining a laminated body 35 for which a deposition body 30 is laminated on an air permeable sheet 5 by sucking the raw material of the absorber scattered in the air onto a bottom surface 15a and forming the deposition body 30 inside a recessed part 15 in the state of closely attaching the air permeable sheet 5 where an opening 6 is formed to the bottom surface 15a of a carrying means 11 which has the recessed part 15 formed on the outer surface and carries an object to be carried while sucking and holding it on the bottom surface 15a of the recessed part 15 and a peeling step of peeling the laminated body 35 from the bottom surface 15a of the recessed part 15.
