Wt. < 15000 formed by condensation of (1) monoacetyl urea with formaldehyde; or (2) urea and formaldehyde followed by further condensation with guanidine; or (3) ethylene or propylenediamine, diethylene or dipropylamine triamine, guanidine, dicyandiamine, N- aminoethyl, or N-aminopropyl alkylamines, alkyleneamines or alkadienylamines; imidazole, imidazoline, 1-aminoethylimidazoline, or 1-aminoethyl-2-alkyl or 1-amino-ethyl-2-alkylene-2-imidazoline, with formaldehyde, acetaldehyde, or propionaldehyde or with dihaloalkanes having 2-6 carbon atoms; or derivatives of such condensation products, having M. Wt. <15000, alkalated with chains containing 1-12 carbon atoms or acylated with alkyl or alkylene carboxylic acid groups, or acid addition salts of said products. There may also be present alginate, cellulose, starch, hydrolysed polyacrylonitrile, polyacrylic acid, poly-acrylamide, acrylamide-acrylic acid copolymers, P.V. A., vinylacetate-maleicanhydride polymers, urea formaldehyde resin, sulphonated resins, polymethacrylic acid, polyvinyl pyrrolidone or derivatives thereof. Also present may be fertilizers, trace elements, herbicides, bactericides, insecticides, sterilizing agents, or plant hormones.
