PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an acoustic wave measuring apparatus capable of accurately moving irradiation means to a measurement position even when a subject cannot be visually confirmed.SOLUTION: The acoustic wave measuring apparatus includes: holding means for holding a subject irradiation means for irradiating the subject with light acoustic wave detection means for receiving, through the holding means, an acoustic wave generated in the subject by the light an imaging apparatus for imaging the subject position designation means for allowing a measuring person to designate a measurement position on an image acquired by the imaging apparatus coordinate conversion means for converting coordinates of the measurement position on the image to coordinates of a corresponding position on the holding means and position control means for moving at least one of the irradiation means and the acoustic wave detection means to the corresponding position on the holding means.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
