PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an adhesive composition, such as a one-step type adhesive material or a self-etching primer, comprising an acidic group-bearing (meth)acrylate polymerizable monomer that has high adhesive strength and is highly suppressed of decomposition of the acidic group-bearing (meth)acrylate polymerizable monomer during storage to excellently maintain the adhesive strength.
SOLUTION: The dental adhesive composition comprises (A) a (meth)acrylate polymerizable monomer component containing the acidic group-bearing (meth)acrylate polymerizable monomer (a1), (B) a polyvalent metal ion, preferably an alkaline earth metal ion or a tetravalent or higher-valent metal ion, and (C) a filler having an isoelectric point of 6.5-11.0, where the ratio of the total ion valence number of the polyvalent metal ion (B) contained in the composition to the total valence number of the acids of the acidic group-bearing (meth)acrylate polymerizable monomer (a1) contained in the composition is 0.2 to less than 1.0.
