PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ligature device, which allows the opening and closing of clip arms with a simple configuration, thereby allowing easy re-positioning of the grasp thereof on somatic tissue, and which does not generate fracture pieces and to provide a clip unit used therein.SOLUTION: A clip body 35 having a pair of openable/closable arms 41, a base end 39 that connects the bases of the arms 41, and a wire locking means is inserted inside a squeezing ring 37 with the pair of arms 41 closed and is disposed inside an introduction tube 19. The clip body 35 is configured to be advanced and retracted freely by an operating wire 23 that is locked to the wire locking means configured from a locking claw 43 and a disengagement stop 45.
