Peptides suitable for eliciting an immune response are disclosed. The peptide corresponds to a fragment of the RAS protein and contains a region of 8 amino acids containing the RAS protein mutation position. The region has at least 6 amino acid residues identical to the corresponding region of the RAS protein, other than the mutation position. The peptide has a point mutation at the amino acid corresponding to the mutation position, and the mutation position is at position 146 or 117 of the RAS protein.
