PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image suitable for endoscopic diagnosis by suppressing halation while maintaining the quality of observation images.SOLUTION: The endoscopic device 100 includes an observation window 41 disposed at a tip of an endoscope insert portion 25, and a pair of illumination windows 43A, 43B disposed across the observation window 41. A first light source LD1 supplies illuminating light to the first illumination window 43A disposed on one side of the observation window, and a second light source LD2 supplies illuminating light to the second illumination window 43B disposed on the other side. A light quantity control is performed on a first pickup image taken with the first light source being diminished and a second pickup image taken with the second light source being diminished to reduce, when the halation occurrence region of the first pickup image is larger than the halation occurrence region of the second pickup image, a target light quantity value set to the first light source and to reduce, when it is smaller, a target light quantity value set to the second light source.COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT【課題】観察画像の品質を維持したままハレーションの発生を抑制することで、内視鏡診断に適した画像を得る。【解決手段】内視鏡装置100は、内視鏡挿入部25の先端に、観察窓41、及び観察窓41を挟んで一対の照明窓43A,43Bが配置されている。観察窓の一方の側に配置される第1の照明窓43Aには第1の光源LD1が照明光を供給し、他方の側に配置される第2の照明窓43Bには第2の光源LD2が照明光を供給する。第1の光源を減光させて撮影した第1の撮像画像と、第2の光源を減光させて撮影した第2の撮像画像に対し、第1の撮像画像のハレーション発生領域が、第2の撮像画像のハレーション発生領域より多い場合に、第1の光源に設定される目標光量値を減少させ、少ない場合に第2の光源に設定される目標光量値を減少させる光量制御を実施する。【選択図】図1
