Provided is a novel inter-polarity current transfer switch, comprising an active branch, a driven branch, a full-bridge submodule and a control module. The active branch comprises an upper bridge arm and a lower bridge arm connected in series, and the driven branch also comprises an upper bridge arm and a lower bridge arm connected in series. A first electrode wire is connected between the upper bridge arm of the active branch and the upper bridge arm of the driven branch, a third electrode wire is connected between the lower bridge arm of the active branch and the lower bridge arm of the driven branch, and a second electrode wire is connected between a connection point of two bridge arms of the active branch and a connection point of two bridge arms of the driven branch. Compared to the prior art, the novel inter-polarity current transfer switch provided in the present invention reduces a change rate of a direct current when a voltage polarity of the third electrode wire is reversed, and reduces the current
