The invention is directed to a method and a system (4) for controlling a construction site (2), said method and system automatically scheduling, via a computer (6), building tasks involving the use of building materials (12) and/or tools (24, 26, 28) on said site, the building materials (12) and/or the tools (24, 26, 28) being equipped with wireless communication interfaces (10, 22, 26), the construction site (2) comprising at least one wireless communication station (8) communicating with the wireless communicating interfaces (10, 22, 26), and the automatic tasks scheduling verifying the availability on the site (2) of at least one of the building materials (12) and/or of at least one of the tools (24, 28, 30), and/or authorizes the operation of at least one of the tools (24, 28, 30), via the at least one wireless communication station (8) and the wireless communication interfaces (10/34, 22, 26).
