PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically call another medical worker without performing the operation of calling another medical worker only in the case when the possibility that a patient present in a bed suddenly gets off the bed and attacks a medical worker present near the bed is high.SOLUTION: A nurse call system includes: a circumference detector 3 for detecting a person present around a bed and a reader 5 for reading radio equipment identification information from radio equipment 4 carried by a medical worker present around the bed. Only when the state of reading the radio equipment identification information is shifted to the state of not reading it and a person present around the bed is detected before leaving of the medical worker is detected from that point of time, the other medical worker is called.
