PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a guide mechanism or a walk assisting device using the guide mechanism adapted to improve the durability of a rolling surface of a rotation body in a guide groove hardly increasing weight.SOLUTION: The guide mechanism includes a guide rail (a guide body) 32 formed with the guide groove 320 inside, and a slider (a movable body) movably engaged with the guide groove through a roller (the rotation body). The guide rail is manufactured from a light metal material (e.g., an aluminum alloy material), and a plate 70 made of a metal material (e.g., stainless steel material) higher in hardness than the light metal material is bonded to the guide groove. The walk assisting device includes a support member that can support a user, and a leg link having a first link and a second link connected through a joint part.
