PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an animal-raising apparatus and an animal-raising cage by which the diffusion of smell into a raising chamber can be prevented, a good raising environment giving no bad influence on the thermal feeling of the animal can be created, and the maintenance work of the animal-raising cage can be simplified.SOLUTION: The animal-raising apparatus 10 includes a chamber 11 also usable as a shelf plate on which the animal-raising cage G1 having a flat bottom part M constituted of an air-permeable member is placed so as to carry the animal to be raise, an air inlet 12 and an air outlet 13 formed in the chamber, an opening 17 formed in the upper surface 15 of the chamber, and an air flow-forming means for forming an air flow in the chamber so that the air fed from the air inlet may be discharged from the air outlet.
