Farmaceutická formulace obsahující .beta.-karbolinovou účinnou sloučeninu vzorce I, která je ve formě částic volného léčiva, z nichž alespoň 90 % má velikost částic nižší než 10 .mi.m； 50 až 85 % hmotnostních vodorozpustného ředidla； mazadlo； 1 až 5 % hmotnostních hydrofilního pojiva vybraného ze skupiny, kterou tvoří derivát celulózy, povidon a jejich směsi； a dezintegrační činidlo, vybrané ze skupiny, kterou tvoří kroskarmelóza sodná, krospovidon a jejich směs, přičemž pod pojmem volné léčivo se rozumí pevné částice, které nejsou těsně uloženy v polymerním koprecipitátu. Tato formulace pro použití při léčení sexuální dysfunkce, zvolené zejména ze samčí erektilní dysfunkce a poruchy samičí vzrušivosti.In the present invention, there is disclosed a pharmaceutical formulation containing beta-carboline compound of the general formula I, which is in the form of free drug solid particles from which the size of at least 90 percent particles is lower than 10 microns, 50 to 85 percent by weight of a water soluble solvent； a lubricant； 1 to 5 percent by weight of a hydrophilic binding agent being selected from the group consisting of cellulose derivative, povidone, and mixtures thereof； and a disinfectant being selected from the group consisting of crosscarmelose sodium, crospovidone and a mixture thereof , whereby the term free drug means solid particles, which are not tightly incorporated within a polymeric coprecipitator. The above-described formulation can be used in the treatment of sexual dysfunction, being selected particularly from the group consisting of a male erectile dysfunction and disturbance of female sexual arousability.
